ESL – English as a Second Language
Reston Interfaith offers free ESL courses designed to help students improve their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Our volunteer teachers follow a recognized curriculum and our flexible classes allow students to choose whether to come one or two nights per week.
Our curriculum provides English instruction within the context of learning about life skills and American culture. Our curricular themes include health and nutrition, and civics and community. The program strives to create a feeling of community within the classroom, where students from diverse backgrounds can work together in a supportive learning environment.
