Testimonial
Having lived independently my whole life, it was a difficult choice to enter the Embry Rucker Community Shelter after I lost my job and my home. What’s worse was that I had been recently diagnosed with Huntington’s disease. Luckily, my case manager at Reston Interfaith collaborated with Fairfax County social workers to access my Social Security disability benefits quickly. Using the Housing Locator, I found a townhouse and was able to secure my new home with my disability benefits. Thanks, Reston Interfaith, for helping me gain back my independence. – Ben
