Events at Reston Interfaith
Every year, Reston Interfaith hosts a variety of special events. The proceeds from each directly support our social service programs, making them an ideal way to have a good time while giving back to the community. Click on the below links to learn more about each opportunity.
Annual Capitol Steps Benefit PerformanceEnjoy an evening of laughs with political satire, mixed with a little song and dance, from the renowned Capitol Steps. Sponsorship, priority and patron tables for 12 are available, in addition to individual tickets. All guests will receive wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and decadent desserts.
Annual Best of Reston Gala
Presented with the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, the annual Best of Reston Awards honor businesses, organizations, and individuals who have put forth tremendous effort in their commitment to community service and improving the lives of others. Sponsorship opportunities are available for $500 and up. Individual gala tickets and tables of ten are also available.
Annual Rucker Memorial Golf Tournament
Gather your foursome and join us on the greens for this popular annual event. Sponsorships start as low as $250! We also seek donations for our auctions and raffle drawings. Don’t like to golf? No problem. Enjoy dinner, drinks, and bidding following the tournament.
Back to School Backpack Drive
June—August
Reston Interfaith and Kids R First partner to ensure that every child can start his or her first day of class fully equipped to learn. Together, we work to donate new backpacks and supplies directly to RI clients and area public schools for distribution to students in need.
Help the Homeless Walks
July—November
Reston Interfaith is proud to be a beneficiary of Fannie Mae’s Annual Help the Homeless Program. Walk with us to help raise awareness of homelessness in our community. You can participate in our local community walk, the National Walkathon, or at your own Mini-Walk. All funds raised through registration fees and sponsorships go directly to Reston Interfaith’s programs.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
November
For more than 11 years, Reston Interfaith has been holding this annual drive to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy a holiday meal with their family. Each year, an average of 1,500 baskets of food are donated.
Holiday Gift Drive
December
You can share the spirit of the season by purchasing gifts for children or seniors in need during the holidays.
