2010 Back To School Drive

At Reston Interfaith, we believe that every child deserves to start his or her first day of class fully equipped to learn. With the support of caring community members, our annual Back to School Drive provides essential supplies for children in need.

We are pleased to continue our partnership with Kids R First, a local volunteer organization dedicated to preparing kids for their academic futures.  Together we will work to donate backpacks and supplies directly to Reston Interfaith clients, as well as to students who attend Reston/Herndon public schools.

Now through August 13, we are collecting new backpacks for children ages Kindergarten through 12^th grade for the 2010-11 academic year. We unfortunately cannot accept backpacks that are used, have wheels, or have corporate logos on them.

In order to help our clients put their best foot forward on the first day of school, we are also collecting $10 gift cards for Payless Shoe Source, as well as $10 gift cards for the Hair Cuttery.

Please drop off your new backpacks and gift cards Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, at:
